The construction of the 34-storey Golden Age building of Arteks in Sofia is officially suspended. The order of the National Construction Control Directorate (DNAC), which has already been served, can be appealed within 14 days, but this does not stop it. Until the decision came after protests of citizens and weeks disputes between institutions is lawful construction or not.
With the outbreak of the housing estate scandal bought by Artex, it became clear that the construction company continued its work on the “Golden Age” on the basis of a legal change that prolonged the construction deadlines. But then the government announced that the changes did not apply to construction works already begun. According to the Chief Architect of Sofia, the construction is with an expired permit, the original position of the DNSK was not such. They decided to stop the construction only partially, mainly at the underground level until a meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov was reached.
