Prime Minister Boyko Borissov visited “Sliven 2019 National Livestock Exhibition”. “We have an agreement with Erdogan and the Turkish police strictly complies with the agreement on migrants to Bulgaria”, said Borissov. The Prime Minister noted that neither camps, fencing, nor any measures could stop migrants. He commented on the threat of Turkish President Recep Erdogan that he would release millions of refugees in Europe because he was unhappy with criticism of the Syrian military operation.
“We have 0% migration pressure. I do not see any point in building and preparing with camps”, Borissov said. The Prime Minister noted that he would urge Brussels to stop the ongoing attacks on Turkey. “Diplomacy, the agreement, good neighborly relations with Turkey are important”, Borisov said. “I have been used several times as a mediator between Europe and Turkey and I have fully assisted to them”, Borissov said.
Together with the Prime Minister is the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Desislava Taneva. The livestock exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the Executive Agency for Breeding and Reproduction in Livestock. It features over 600 farm animals demonstrating the rich biodiversity of Bulgaria and the achievements of breeding carried out by breeding organizations in the areas of cattle, sheep, goat and horse breeding.
